Not sure if I need a DLP or just SVGA model… they all look the same!
I will be giving powerpoint presentations to consumers at a variety of different venues, including restaurants, hotels, etc.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
I’ve got an IBM DLP E400 Projector. Picture’s great but I can’t hear the sound. I hook it up through S-Video. It’s got the video in (yellow) but it doesn’t have the red or white. It’s got the auxillary but when I plug up speakers, I can’t hear anything. Any suggestions?
Hi, I’m trying to decide between two DLP projectors, that are both around 350$. One is the Infocus 4800 and the other is the 4805. I know the subtle differences between these like the 4805 has better resolution, and a 4x color wheel as opposed to 2x like the 4800. The 4800 has better lumins than the 4805 though with 1100 compared to 750. Another difference is in the particular ones i’m looking at buying, the 4805 has a very slight amount of shading problem on the very left hand side of the screen about 2inches thick at a 6ft screen, making that 2 inches orangish but only during bright scenes. Does anyone know of a quick fix to this or how much it would cost for someone to repair?
My uses for this projector are playing 360/ps3, dvds, and cable (non HD) tv. The lighting is decently under control with maybe having the amount of light of a small lamp. I want a good quality video and I’m wondering what you guys would choose if you were in my shoes, and why?
Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
Sincerely,
James S.
I have an audio problem with my setup…
I have a Panasonic Projector and a Sony LCD TV that are fed with a Panasonic Home Theatre System, a Playstation 3, a Cable Box, and a DVDR/VCR. I bought a 4×2 switch, but figured out that it would only do video. I would like to get the audio of what is showing on the projector back to the home theatre system, preferrably by HDMI. But, my system only has one HDMI port and it is an output. I would go digital optical but the home theatre system doesn’t support it. Should I stay with composite audio, or upgrade? What systems have optical in or hdmi in that are reliable?
I have an IBM DLP E400 Projector. I hooked my PS2 up to it via S-Video. The picture is amazing but I can’t hear the sound. Any trouble shooting tips or suggestions as to what the problem would be?
